The North Shore Chapter of The Association for Operations Management (APICS) is pleased to offer a convenient way to acquire industry-leading knowledge of supply chain management to enhance your career.

The program consists of a 10-session evening course that provides students with a solid understanding of the latest supply chain management techniques and prepares them for the APICS CSCP™ national examinations. The course is being offered at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA.

What is the Certified Supply Chain Professional?

The Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program is a certification program designed to meet the rapidly changing needs of the supply chain management field.

APICS CSCP Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to register for the APICS CSCP exam, an individual must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus two years of related business experience, or
  • Five years of related business experience

Training Materials (supplied by instructor) 

The APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional Learning Systems is provided to each student. The APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) Learning System is a comprehensive professional development and certification preparation program based on the APICS CSCP body of knowledge. It combines print components and interactive Web-based study tools.

The course is delivered by Rob Michaels*, a supply chain veteran who is certified in Supply Chain Management, Six Sigma and Project Management and with many years’ of experience delivering training.

*Rob Michaels is a supply chain information systems compliance manager at Philips Healthcare located in Andover, Massachusetts.  Prior to his current job he was a Six Sigma Black Belt. He has over 25 years’ of experience in the medical device industry and has held various assignments in manufacturing, marketing and operations. He has also worked at Exxon-Mobil Company, Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. His educational background consists of a BA in Physics from Middlebury College, an MS in Geophysics from Stanford University and an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.  He holds the following certifications: American Society for Quality (ASQ) CSSBB, CQE, CMQ/OE, The Association for Operations Management (APICS) CFPIM, CSCP, The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) CPSM and the Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP, RMP. He is also an APICS recognized instructor.
