Susan E. Pariseau is a
Professor of Management in the Francis E. Girard School of Business and
International Commerce at Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. She
received B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Rhode Island and
a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of Massachusetts
Amherst. She has served the College as Associate Dean of Business,
Director of Accreditation and Management Department Chair. She received
her certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) in 1986
while a member of NOSH.
Dr. Pariseau’s teaching is in the area of operations management
including OM, Quality and Statistics. Her current research interests
include Lean Operations, Program Assessment and Experiential Learning.
She is a current recipient of an NSF Grant to integrate hands-on
discovery of lean principles into operations and engineering curricula.
Dr. Pariseau is a member of several professional organizations including
the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), the Academy of
Business Education, (ABE), the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and
APICS – The Association for Operations Management. She is a past Vice
President of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) and serves on the
Advisory Council of the Northeast Decision Sciences Institute (NEDSI)
where she is serving as their President. Her work has been published in journals
including the International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management,
the Journal of Business & Economic Studies, and the Journal of Education
for Business.
