President's Message

Don’t miss the Holiday Networking event coming up on 12/9/08! This event will be held at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, MA. There will be a cash bar, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, coffee, dessert pastries and a drawing for door prizes. Of course, there will also be the latest topics to digest. This event offers a unique format for learning and networking with your peers. Between 7:30 PM and 8:30 PM you have the opportunity to participate in two group discussions facilitated by subject matter experts, with members at your table.

I am pleased to announce that the North Shore Chapter has qualified for the APICS Platinum Chapter Benchmarking and Reporting (C_BAR) award level. This marks our 14th consecutive year as an APICS Platinum Chapter! The C-BAR program designates three recognition levels, and awards them to individual chapters who achieve successively higher scores above Chapter Minimum Standards: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. To achieve Platinum status, a chapter must maintain the Gold status for five consecutive years; the North Shore Chapter has maintained our Gold status for 19 consecutive years!

The Chapter’s success is directly related to the feedback and support we receive from all our members; we value your input and work to shape our programs to meet your needs and expectations. We are always looking to improve ourselves, and welcome any member who would like to assist the chapter in any small or large way--in a board position, as an instructor or chapter volunteer.
